Mini Story(/Excerpt) # 1

Mini Story(/Excerpt) # 1

I swear there is something lost in this
unconnectedness. The way I blur my eyes when there are
too many people and call it "glazing"...

So there's a point in everyone's life when one feels that life is at that lag stage. Lag stage...huh. Guess we're all wired in this age. You know, I just pulled off an all nighter - my painstaking notes were piled in every un-vacuumable corner, and I was filled with the urgent thought of, "Must Save before I go to bed." Can you believe it? Sheesh. But serious, textbooks should have a CTRL-F search function. That's part of it you know. The lag. For weeks my REM cycles were used up between the Contents and the Glossary. But when I finally got a break, what did I do? Froze my freaking eyes to a screen. I tell you. We create our own lag, you know? Ping's way up there, and we keep it that way. It's a perpetual lag.

My whole life is a lag stage. I try to convince myself somehow that I'm all wired up and I'm so busy and doing good things. But really, behind it all: lag. Nothing useful, everything fake.
