The Sweetest...FREE image/graphic manipulation resources

I've been meaning to put this up for a while. Return to check this post from time to time for additions and more info (see sidebar, "The Sweetest...").

The GIMP - Gimp does everything Photoshop does. Only it's free. I love these guys.

Graphics Gale - I use it for (halal) pixel art and quick animation; drawback: no saving GIFs, but that's because of the darn GIF patent.
